Apprenticeship Training Officer (Business Services)
Luton (with occasional travel to other parts of the UK)
Salary to £27500 to £30,000

Our client is a leading HR & payroll solutions services provider - and they currently require an experienced Apprenticeship Training Officer. This role would be based at their client’s site - a major international technical services company.

To support the provision of the Modern Apprenticeship Programmes in Luton and occasionally on other sites in England
To manage and maintain learner data and records
To assess learner performance against relevant frameworks and standards
To fully understand the client’s business, dynamics and needs and proactively recommend appropriate and relevant company solutions
Develop a learning culture and environment that supports development of Apprentices’ skills, knowledge and careers
Co-ordinate all Apprentice placement plans, ensuring Apprenticeships are of the highest quality and that all Apprentices receive appropriate training and support
Monitor, control, assess, evaluate and verify competencies and learner performance against recognised awarding body/regulatory standards
Work closely with FE Colleges and other third party providers to co-ordinate college assessment and monitor Apprentice attendance, progress and performance
Manage and maintain learner data and track progress
Provide line management for the Apprentices for the duration for their programme, including undertaking 12-weekly reviews and managing disciplinary/capability situations
Personally provide coaching and development on a one-to-one basis
Support self-assessment, quality audits and evaluation activities as required
Ensure all regulatory requirements are met (e.g. SDS, SEMTA and EAL) and that all documentation and record keeping meets the required standards.
Support Apprentice recruitment by attending recruitment activities and events and undertaking candidate assessment and interviews
Plan, organise and facilitate the Apprentice induction programme

Qualifications, work experience:

Essential

Experience in the design and delivery of training programmes (Business subjects - ie Business Administration, Customer Service, Team Leading and Management)
Sound knowledge of Apprenticeship framework requirements
Good level of IT literacy – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email
Good written and verbal communication skills

Desirable

NVQ/SVQ Level 3 Learning and Development or equivalent
A1 Assessor qualifications award or D Units (D32, D33)
V1 Verifier qualifications (D34)
Previous experience of Apprentice programme delivery across UK
Understanding of Centre Approval processes and SDS contractual requirements and SFA
Project management skills
Coaching experience
Any technical programme delivery experience would be very beneficial.
