Skills for Life Trainer, Woking, Surrey - up to £22k
Our client is a market leader in the delivery of the government’s Welfare to Work agenda and is committed to helping their clients onto the skills ladder. They work closely with funders, employers, and providers of Train to Gain and Apprenticeships to ensure that their client's journey is a seamless progression from employability programmes, into employment and on to skills development within the work place.
They are currently seeking a qualified Skills for Life Trainer to work in their Woking centre with their 19+ client group. The role is to tutor and support these clients to give them the necessary skills, motivation and knowledge to progress into employment or work placements.
The position is varied and includes assessing the basic skills of participants, tailoring training and support according to their needs, delivering structured training programmes and workshops and coaching in job search techniques.
The successful candidate will hold a Further & Adult Teaching Qualification at Level 4 (or equivalent), have experience of working with learners from disadvantaged education or personal backgrounds and be confident of communicating to and engaging with this group.
Salary range for this position is between £19,364 and £22,000 pa. Interviews are in January 2009.
