Single Parents Project Employment Skills Trainer

Fantastic opportunities have arisen with our client, a not for profit training provider who partner with local communities for specialist “welfare to work” projects. This position is working with the Lone Parent Project which helps single parents gain employment.

We have a specialist trainer role based in the Wembley Office working as part of a team guiding Lone Parents back into the work place you will be:

•Responsible for your own targets
•Delivering group sessions and one to ones in soft skills, job skills and motivational training
•Providing feedback
•Induction training
•Keeping accurate records
•Promoting the services of the Pathways project and the job ready members to SME’s in the local community
•Meeting with local employers
•Arranging interviews for members
•Developing key relationships with clients, members and the team
•Work with the team to select job ready clients for interview
•Placing job ready clients


The right person will: -

•Possess or working towards a recognised teacher training qualification i.e. Train the trainer, City &Guilds 704, PGCE, DTLLS, CTLLS or Cert. Ed
•Experience of teaching/ delivering a course to a group and advising one to one
•Be educated to a good level preferably hold a degree or equivalent
•Advanced Maths and English Skills
•Advanced communication skills with people at all levels
•Work Performance Target driven, methodical approach,
•Confident and calm under pressure
•Self starter, never gives up
•Understanding of the difficulties faced by members on benefits
•Any understanding of another language and the Brent area would be beneficial
