Year 3 Teacher - Tilbury

Lansdowne Primary School are seeking to appoint an excellent classroom teacher to cover a Year 3 Maternity position from March till the end of the Summer Term. You will be joining a hard working and committed team who support each other through the whole school

CLASS TEACHING

Responsibility for planning, teaching, assessment, target setting, classroom organisation, display and reporting to parents of children in Key Stage 2
Work flexibly within the teaching team.
Supervise the work of teaching assistants working with children in the class.
Maintain good order and discipline among pupils and safeguard their health and safety both on school premises and when they are engaged in authorised school activities elsewhere.
Register the attendance of pupils and supervise pupils at agreed times before, during and after school sessions (it is understood that a teacher should not routinely undertake tasks of a clerical or administrative nature which do not call for the exercise of a teacher’s professional skills and judgement).

PLANNING AND TEACHING

Plan, develop and deliver work across the curriculum in accordance with the defined aims and policies of the school, the National Curriculum and the school’s agreed, established programmes of work.
To use planned, timetabled Planning, Preparation and Assessment time for the purposes intended.

Experience: Experience of working in Key Stage 2

Qualifications: QTS
