Some pupils may have additional medical, physical or sensory impairments or emotional and behavioural difficulties. Experience in special needs (SEN), especially with severe learning difficulties (SLD) as well as knowledge of PECS, TEACCH and Team-Teach, is essential. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering the curriculum to a class of Key Stage 3 and 4 students. They will enable pupils to gain the prerequisite skills for learning through our early intervention programmes, which are closely linked to the national curriculum.
