Design Technology Teacher - Leeds & North Yorkshire

We are currently working in partnership with excellent Secondary Schools in the Leeds and North Yorkshire area to appoint Teachers of Design & Technology to start from September 2020. Both NQTs and more experienced teachers are encouraged to apply! Opportunities across KS3, 4 & 5.

September 2020 start opportunities to go permanent
£120-£160 daily depending on experience
Video interview

We have high demand for teachers trained to teach Resistant Materials and Food Technology, but we do also have vacancies for Graphics and Textiles. It would be an advantage if you can also teach Health & Social Care but not essential.

With the current climate due to Covid-19 our schools are forecasting a large intake for staff in September and we currently already have vacancies for DT Teachers. You will need to ensure you would be comfortable with a video interview and have the technology to do so, be that a laptop with a camera, a video phone or a tablet.

We have short-term and long-term roles in fantastic schools around Leeds. If you are a qualified Design Technology teacher and enjoy inspiring our next generation then this is your next opportunity! A specialism within Resistant Materials or Food Tech would be a huge advantage.
You will genuinely have a passion to work with young people and have a love for your subject to inspire them. Strong behaviour management is a must and you should be an adaptable and resilient teacher. You should have the commitment to keep up to date with the curriculum and have a desire to keep building yourself as a skilled practitioner. Our partnership schools regularly offer permanent full time and part time roles to our teachers. References should indicate you are skilled to raise student attainment.

Requirements:
? Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
? Well qualified with a degree in relevant subject
? References from schools
? A drive for success and excellent quality of teaching
? Excellent classroom management skills

You must have a recent DBS that is on the DBS update service or be prepared to undertake a new DBS with us.

This is a perfect opportunity for you to gain vital school experience within our partnership schools across Leeds to suit your individual needs, whether that be on a part time, full time, short-term or long-term basis.

Please call Toni on 0113 246 8220 for further details, I would love to speak with you!
