SLT Education are searching for a Special Educational Needs Consultant to join a large multi-academy trust based in Birmingham.

SLT Education is currently supporting a large multi-academy trust in their search for a SEN Consultant. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for an experienced Consultant to join a successful academy trust, which has been recognised as ?Good? by OFSTED. The role is offered on a part-time basis and is expected to last until July 2019.

The academy wish to appoint an experienced SEN Consultant with extensive SEN knowledge and expertise. A professional from a SEN background is desirable and preferably a professional with an alternative provision or mainstream background. The appointed Consultant will have experience supporting a range of schools in line with whole-school improvement, coaching, etc. and will possess widespread knowledge of the SEN sector, as well as being able to develop and coach other educational professionals.

If appointed you will work closely with a range of school Senior Leaders, such as Academy CEOs and Head Teachers across mainstream schools and will be responsible for providing coaching on leadership, whole-school improvement and will encourage strategies and implementations for new approaches to ensure education is delivered to the highest of standards. You will also work closely and provide direct support to experienced SENCOs within the trust. You will be responsible for offering support, training and positive learning advice to professionals within the trust.

Ideally, you will be an ambitious and forward thinking individual as the academy trust plans to expand quite rapidly over the next few years, meaning a positive impact learners and staff members.
