KS3 Sen Teacher Protocol Education are working with a Pupil Referral Unit in Middlesbrough who are currently recruiting for a KS3 Teacher to work closely with students with significant social/emotional mental health concerns, who often exhibit challening behaviour. This SEN Teacher position is to start ASAP. The Role The teacher role has become available due to new students being admitted to the PRU. You will focus on supporting pupils who have been excluded from school and, whilst in KS3, are learning at a primary level. The class follows a primary model, you will work in a class with the same children consistently and will be supported by TAs. Primary Teachers are welcome to apply. In the role, you should expect to work closely with the school SENCO as well as classroom teachers and provide support to a whole class, smaller groups, and one-on-one. Requirements The ideal candidate will have experience as a SEN Teacher or in your NQT year. This successful person for this role will need to show strong patience, good communication and enthusiasm towards helping children to learn and have QTS or an equivalent qualification.
