Hays Education are delighted to be working on behalf of a Secondary school based in Northamptonshire to recruit for a qualified Art Teacher for a long term temporary post to start after Easter. This is a full time teaching role, however candidates looking for part time would also be welcome to apply. The school can be flexible depending on your requirements.
Your new School
This Academy is well known for being an exceptional learning community where all students make outstanding progress irrespective of their starting point. The staff have built a ‘family like’ environment where their pupils thrive and the employees genuinely have a love for their school. The school caters for 11-18 year olds and are a mainstream, non-selective comprehensive school and they have been oversubscribed for every year they have been open. Their focus is ‘Pupil Progress’ and the high expectations set and followed are apparent when visiting the school. All their staff participate in their own learning journey allowing them to develop and inspire themselves and the pupils within the school.
Your new Role
This role is initially offered as a full time teaching role, however candidates looking for three to five days would also be welcome to apply. In your new secondary teaching job you will be expected to plan interesting and challenging Art lessons that will engage pupils and you will have the natural ability to deliver them with confidence and enthusiasm. You will need to be experienced teaching up to KS4 and be familiar with the current curriculum. Parent’s evenings may be included, in which you will be required to attend.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in your new teaching job you will have completed your studies and hold QTS. You will be an experienced Art Teacher that is passionate about student progress and is committed to helping pupils to achieve their academic potential. The ideal candidate would have been in a long term or permanent teaching role and will be able to supply Hays with references from the previous employer, preferably in a school environment.
