 |  |  David Lister School is a maintained co-education comprehensive school, and has approximately 1,400 students aged 11-16. In September 2007, David Lister School merged with Isaac Newton School and now operates on one site. This has been a challenging period for David Lister, which is currently in special measures, but we are very much looking to the future and moving in the right direction.
We are looking to appoint a Maths coach to assist in taking responsibility for this key department. You will play a key part in raising teaching and learning standards through the quality of your own teaching and by supporting the professional development of colleagues.
The post will be on a full time, permanent basis from either January or April 2009.
The successful applicant will:
· Show a high level of subject/specialist knowledge to ensure up-to-date.
and informative teaching and learning.
· Manage and develop staff to ensure positive development.
· Act as a role model for teaching and learning and support colleagues
effectively.
· Develop students literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
· Evaluate your own teaching critically and use this to improve effectiveness.
