This Surrey school is looking for an English Teacher from January 2009.

The school is a mixed comprehensive with just under 700 pupils up to 16 years. At present the school prides itself on its provision of high end teaching and this has resulted in an excellent reputation for the school in the wider community and it’s catchment. After an outstanding year in 2007/08 which resulted in a successful Ofsted inspection and culminated in the highest pass levels ever achieved at the school for G.C.S.E, the new school year has started with high expectations and as such the school needs a competent teacher to maintain the current momentum.

Teaching Process:

Mathematics taught in ability groups from Year 9

Seven teaching groups in Years 9, 10 and 11 being taught 6 one-hour lessons per group per fortnight.

Two groups in Years 12 and 13 being taught 10 one-hour lessons per fortnight

One further Mathematics group in Year 12

G.C.S.E - Modular Edexcel exam board.

AS and A2 – Edexcal exam board.

This school can provide excellent teaching facilities and a supportive atmosphere for the successful candidate to flourish in what will initially be a 2 term Mathematics role.
