Head of PE Required ASAP - Covering Long Term Sickness - SE

This Academy in South East London is looking to recruit an experienced PE Teacher with management experience to join them ASAP, to lead a department and covering the current Head of PE who is off on long term sickness.

The position will be available to start ASAP, and will be at least until Easter 2009, possibly longer.

The Academy since opening has had a multi-million pound investment in the academy's buildings, which provides them with state-of-the-art facilities, including a full-size sports hall and a specialist performing arts block.

The successful candidate would be in charge of a PE department currently consisting of 8 PE staff and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school is vital, and the ability to volunteer for extra curricular activities is essential.

The school is conveniently situated just to the South of the Thames in Central London, and has good transport links for both train, tube and bus.
