We are looking for a permanent teacher of Psychology to teach at this West Kent girls school in the Bromley/Bexley area. This is a comprehensive with 1336 pupils on roll, including a Sixth Form of 202 students. It is heavily oversubscribed. This is a highly successful school with many outstanding features. Pupils make very good progress by the end of Year 10 to bring them up to above average attainment, and skilled teaching ensures that this progress is maintained throughout Years 10 and 11. Ofsted (2002) stated, Leadership and management are very good and the leadership and management of the head teacher, and two deputy head teachers, are outstanding. The schools best advertisement is the students, who know what is expected of them. This years GCSE results were 59% A*-C including Mathematics and English. Ideally we are looking for an enthusiastic teacher of Psychology with experience of teaching Psychology to Alevel as part of the Social Studies department. The Psychology department consists of nine experienced staff members. You will have a UK teaching qualification or overseas equivalent. The school is located half an hour from London and is easily accessible via public transport.
