Learning Coordinator of Opening Minds

Oasis Academy Immingham is an 11-18 comprehensive and inclusive Academy with Engineering as its main specialism and Business and Enterprise as its second specialism.  It opened in September 2007 as part of the accelerated academies programme.  It currently occupies the buildings of the former Immingham School and will move into the stunning new Academy buildings in January 2009.

 

Oasis Community Learning, the Academys sponsor, is part of the wider Oasis family, which has worked around the world for over 20 years providing education, housing and healthcare. The Opening Minds Learning Coordinator will be responsible for developing the Opening Minds competence curriculum which is taught to all students in year 7 and 8. A broad range of subjects are involved in Opening Minds where the RSA competences drive the lessons and creativity and innovation engage the students in their learning. A primary school background and/or the ability to teach English or Humanities may be beneficial.
