This East Berkshire School is looking for an experienced teacher of Maths.

A longstanding Secondary School in East Berkshire is currently looking for a Maths Specialist to start work as soon as possible to cover a current sickness vacancy. The school itself can boast both an attractive site and major recent development of its teaching buildings (2003) with excellent IT facilities.

The Maths department consists of 5 full time specialists. The department itself is lively and friendly and its students have excellent records of attainment in Mathematics with many students involving themselves in Mathematical application in extra curricular activity.

This school can provide excellent teaching facilities and a supportive atmosphere for the successful candidate to flourish in what will initially be a 2 term Mathematics role.

Teaching Process:

Mathematics taught in ability groups from Year 9

Seven teaching groups in Years 9, 10 and 11 being taught 6 one-hour lessons per group per fortnight.

Two groups in Years 12 and 13 being taught 10 one-hour lessons per fortnight

One further Mathematics group in Year 12

G.C.S.E - Modular Edexcel exam board.

AS and A2 – Edexcel exam board.
