Science Teacher

Hays Education is looking to appoint an exceptional teacher of Science for an innovative and forward thinking school in the Somerset area that have recently been appointed a specialist science school. The vacancy will be filled from November 2008.

The school strives for its students to enjoy school and become capable, lifelong learners, able to adapt and respond positively to challenges in a world of continuous change.

The School needs teachers who will contribute positively to the ethos of the school, whose skills are up-to-date, who are willing to innovate, understand the meaning of high standards and are willing to provide a contribution above and beyond the classroom.

Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude:

Prior expereince of teaching science

Degree in a science based subject advantageous but not essential

Enthusiasm, energy and commitment to children of all abilities

Energy, Ambition and enthusiasm

High level of self motivation

Ability to work as part of a team

Good Organisation and interpersonal skills
