Maths Teacher

Hays are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of Maths for a high achieving school in North Somerset. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Key Stage 3 & 4 Mathematics.

We are looking for a skilled teacher of Mathematics who will make a difference to the results achieved within the Maths department. The department is forward thinking and constantly improving. Maths is a successful area of the school.

  Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude:

  • Ability in the classroom, including subject knowledge and teaching methodology.  (All short-listed candidates will be expected to teach a lesson, observed by a senior member of staff.);
  • A degree from a recognised British university or college, preferably at least a second class degree.  The degree should be either a general education degree (BEd) or, a specific subject degree;
  • IT skills and a willingness to use IT for both teaching and administration
  • Enthusiasm, energy and commitment to children of all abilities
     

    Personal Attributes:
  • Ability in the classroom, including subject knowledge and teaching methodology. 
  • Flexibility and willingness to be a full member of the school community
  • Suitability for working with children and young people, including the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries;
  • Good Organisation and interpersonal skills
