Head of PE - Successful Dept in West London School - January

This London Academy is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Head of PE to join a very successful department from January 2009.

Alongside extensive play fields on site, the department has access to a wide range of facilities including the adjoining Sports Centres. The Academy, currently 11-16, will also open its 6th form in new buildings in September 2010 and there are also plans to develop two full size astro turf multisport pitches.

An extensive programme of extra-curricular activities, including field trips, excursions and a full range of weekly clubs for music, drama, ICT and sports, will be enhanced by Academy status, which will enable an extended day and offer a richer programme of activities and services for students, families and the community.

The right candidate will be an excellent leader, with the desire to work in an already thriving department. They will be highly committed and relish the opportunity of joining an Academy committed to staff development, where there is up to 3 weeks of dedicated time for staff training every year.
