SEND Lunchtime Assistant

I am currently recruiting for SEN Lunchtime assistants to work relaxed hours Monday to Friday at a Special Needs Primary School in North London.

The school I\'m working with supports Primary aged students (Reception - Year 6) with a range of needs such as severe and complex learning difficulties, emotional needs, autism and physical needs.

SEN experience is not essential, but my client is seeking a proactive individual with initiative and a positive attitude with a willingness to learn and understand.

? As a lunchtime assistant you will need to be available for work from 11:30a.m - 1: 30p.m Monday to Friday.

? You will be required to help assist students from the classroom to the lunch hall and back to their classes at the end of lunch, some students that you support will have physical needs and may have mobility aids such as wheelchairs and crutches too.
? Most students will require assistance being fed, so a positive, firm patient approach will need to be taken with this. Some students will be fed via a tube, experience of peg feeding and flushing will be appealing.
? Lunchtime assistants will be required to play with students during their lunch break and help to maintain positive communication, excitement, laughter and encouragement throughout the school
Apply now with an up-to-date CV and all successful candidates will be contacted to progress their application. If you would like to discuss this role or other potential roles call Michael Omisore on 02032197745 or email: (email address removed)
Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £40.00.
