Are you a Maths graduate from a leading UK university with at least a 2:1 in your degree?
Do you need to gain some meaningful, school-based experience in preparation to become a Maths teacher?
Would you be interested in a role working in a primary school delivering Numeracy support to pupils?
A number of Primary Schools in Greater Manchester are looking for Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their staff immediately to deliver support to pupils who are struggling in Numeracy.
To be considered for this position you will need:
? To be a Maths graduate
? Be confident to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
? Must be a highly enthusiastic, proactive candidate with a passion to motive pupils
? Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
? To be reliable and able to commit to work 5 days a week Monday - Friday
? Experience of working with children is desirable but not essential
As a Maths support graduate you will work with pupils, who have low Numeracy levels, you will carry out intervention sessions in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to help raise the grades of the pupils you work with. Depending on ability you will also have the opportunity to contribute to lesson planning and suggest creative ideas to help the students you work with. The perfect PGCE preparation!
This Primary Teaching Assistant role will offer the successful graduate the opportunity to hone their teaching skills and develop as an individual ahead of applying for their PGCE. You will work Monday - Friday and training and support will be given.
