Teaching Assistant needed to start after Easter 2018, Hailsham, East Sussex, Competitive Pay

Your new school
You will be working in a high achieving and dynamic school in Hailsham. This is a school which engages the whole community and families are very much involved in the education of all pupils. This helps to create a welcoming environment which strives to achieve the very best.

Your new role
Working closely with the classroom teacher you will contribute towards providing an excellent education for the pupils in your care. You will assist to create and develop learning resources and contribute towards the planning of lessons. You will be key in assessing the development of pupils and providing accurate feedback to the teacher and parents/carers. When needed, you will run intervention groups for children that need extra support as well as working individually with some pupils. You will be responsible for making sure that the classroom is ready for learning each day and when required you will create bespoke IEPs for certain pupils.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have recent and relevant classroom based experience and a good knowledge of the British National Curriculum. You will also have good IT, Maths and English skills which you can implement in a classroom setting. You must have outstanding communication skills and be able to quickly build relationships with pupils and staff alike. You will confidently be able to lead small learning groups, write IEPs and assess the development of pupils. You will be highly flexible in your approach to work and able to fit into a classroom setting with ease.
