Teaching Assistant Required to start after Easter 2018, Competitive Pay

Your new school
You will be working in a unique school in Eastbourne, which has a vibrant atmosphere, large amounts of extra curriculum activities and a diverse intake of pupils. This is a school with a successful senior leadership who are highly creative and innovative in their approach to education.

Your new role
You will be responsible for supporting the classroom teacher in providing high quality education for the pupils in your class. You will be involved in the planning and preparation of educational resources, setting up the classroom for varying activities throughout the day and assessing the development of children. You will run intervention groups in both literacy and numeracy for pupils who are struggling and work independently with children you identify who need extra support. You will accompany children on educational visits and be a positive role module in the classroom.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have previous classroom based experience which is both recent and relevant. You will be able to confidently run small groups both for struggling children and high achievers and competently manage any challenging behaviour. You will have excellent communication skills, be highly organised and have a flexible approach in your work. You will have expert knowledge of the British National Curriculum and child development which you are able to use daily at school.
