SEN Teaching Assistant job in Swindon ASAP start

This OFSTED-rated 'good' school in Swindon require an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a 4 year-old child with Autism and behavioural difficulties. This child requires 1:1 support in order to help their emotional and social development.

Your new job
This Teaching Assistant job in Swindon will involve supporting a 4 year-old child 1:1 with Special Educational Needs. You will use their Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) to help with their development and to build a solid relationship with them. Ideally, you will be Team Teach trained in order to carry out any manual handling that may be needed.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you must have recent and relevant experience as an SEN teaching assistant, working with children with Autism, either in a voluntary or paid capacity. You must also have a passion for working with Early Years aged pupils and be dedicated to making a positive impact on their learning and development. You will have a Level 2 or higher qualification or alternatively extensive SEN experience supporting children in the Early Years phase who have emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) or exercise other complex and challenging behaviours. Ideally, you will have completed Team Teach training or have manual handling training. As per Department for Education (DfE) guidelines you will need to be able to provide full identification copies and reference details from the relevant experience you have previously gained in this or a similar setting.
