Learning Support Assistant- Clevedon
Your new school
Your Clevedon school requires a Learning Support Assistant as soon as possible to work across KS1 within the SEND department until July with opportunity to continue from September. The SENCO is looking for someone to join their dedicated inclusion team to enable full support to all individuals.
Your new job
As a Learning Support Assistant in KS1 you will be working to promote independent learning through both 1:1 and group work based within the Student Support Team. You will be assisting the SENCO and teacher to prepare tailored work for each individual you support through their Individual Education Plan.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with the child, developing learning techniques and strategies to encourage engagement and progression.
What you’ll need to succeed for this job
You will be passionate about working with young people and supporting them in their development within a school setting. You will have at least 18 months relevant and recent 1:1 transferable experience working within SEND in a primary setting. You will need a grade C or above in Maths and English at GCSE level. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desired but not essential.
