Teaching Assistant with SEND experience/ interest required for a school in Greater Manchester

Hays is currently working with a number of Schools located all over greater Manchester that are in the process of recruiting Teaching Assistants with experience or an interest for SEND. I am working with MLD, behavioural, alternative provisions and PRU's.

Your new company

A SEND school based in Manchester are currently looking to recruit for a rewarding SEND Teaching Assistant job. The school need a SEND Teaching Assistant to help increase the maximum learning potential of each and every child they work with, Part of a great team that are highly rated by previous candidates for a welcoming an supportive environment. In a supportive environment, the school aims to provide an excellent education to students with SEND requirements such as those with EBD, ASD, MLD and ADHD.

Your new role

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be required to work alongside the school’s teachers to support and deliver learning activities, facilitate effective learning and promote a happy school environment. The challenges you will face day to day mean you must be a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) and the desire to have a positive impact on building good relationships with staff and students.

What you'll need to succeed

Successful candidates will have relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant either in a voluntary or paid capacity with SEND students. You must also have a passion for working with SEND students and be dedicated to making a positive impact on their learning and development. You must also be aware of the key competencies that are expected to go along with working with children with SEND and challenging behaviours.
